I sit here in my bedroom Day 11 of Self Isolation due to returning to Sydney, Australia from an overseas trip, feeling safe in the comfort of my home with the rise of Covid-19 upon my state of New South Wales. Doing my due diligence of self isolation for myself and the Australian community is the right thing to do and a no brainer. Am hoping by Day 15 sunlight will fall upon me as I waltz out the door for essentials but as each day goes past with the minority of the community not listening my fear of NSW in full lockdown looks to be any day now.
How I keep occupied: daily chats with family and friends, meditation music via YouTube, listen to Super Soul, keep informed with worldwide news at a bay, write travel blogs, household chores and maybe way too much time with TV/ Movie platforms like Stan/ Prime Video/ Netflix / Disney Channel.
Last December, I thankfully gave the apartment a full spring clean which now gives me plenty of time to focus on healing and ambitions for 2021.
The following are some suggestions on ways to keep occupied in Isolation and/or Lockdown. Hope you find something to inspire you.
1.Online Course
Why not pick up a new personal or career skill?
Learn a new language?
Improve your current personal or career skills?
Example – https://www.babbel.com/ or https://www.opencolleges.edu.au/

2. Read Books
Why not pick up that last book you did not finish?
Read a book inline with your interests?
Why not go out of your comfort zone and read a different genre?
Get motivated with Self Improvement books?

3. Start a New Hobby
Why not learn one of the following: –
Have you ever been inspired to paint, look within the home or peer out the window for inspiration?
Taking up sewing seems a great idea right about now.
Maybe learn how to apply makeup correctly or explore colours you own but never apply.
Why not put an amazing puzzle together that you can frame?
Any instruments in the home, why not take the opportunity to learn?
A big one for me is practice meditation, can take some time, however, playing healing music in the background can be quite therapeutic at a time like this to stop the mind from unwanted thoughts.
Take a shot at Blogging – Travel, photography, sports anything your heart desires.

4. Cook
Perhaps learn how to make a cake from scratch?
Personally, I would love to take the opportunity to make a pie or a quiche.
Forget takeaway especially with so much uncertainty, get your household involved in making their own specialty pizza.

5. Keep in touch with family and friends
