Saturday 29th February 2020, a leap year, I climbed the Sydney Harbour Bridge in Australia with my partner, his Mum and Aunt from Greece. What a spectacular morning it was at 10.25 am, blue sky with a touch of clouds.
With my fear of heights behind me, as soon as my feet stepped out onto the steel I was overwhelmed with excitement. There was not a single moment of fear and I found myself relieved to have not spent time overthinking it. I was supercharged and how can you not be, overlooking our amazing harbour, like no other in the world.
To every person who resides in Australia and tourists, this is a must-do activity. The Sydney Harbour Bridge Climb is an experience that will be remembered forever. I am positive you will want to climb it again, one for the climb itself and two for the spectacular 360 views of Sydney.
Compare climbs to ensure you get the best out of your day. Available times are Dawn (once a month only), Day, Twilight and Night.

Summit Climb Details: –
Summit – I highly recommend the 3.5 hours Summit climb to the top of the Pylon Lookout. Our 1332 steps climb started at the Climb Base below the Bradfield Highway to the South East Pylon then we climbed up 4 ladders to the start of the upper arch where the upper arch greeted us with the astounding Opera House view side. After photo opportunities taken by Bridgeclimb, we then moved along the summit to the Darling Harbour views before descending to Climb Base.
The fully guided tour included a climb group photograph, bridge climb cap, certificate of achievement and a free pass to the Pylon Lookout.
Summit Express – This climb is approximately 2.5 hours with limited stops and no ladders as you walk the lower arch then the upper arch to a staircase all the way to the summit. The Summit Express climb is 1002 steps that also gives 360 degrees views of Sydney. If you have fear of heights this may be the better option for you, although, I would suggest going all the way with the Summit climb. This climb also has the same ticket inclusions as the Summit climb.

My life has definitely become more adventurous in the last decade. I have been so proud to finally face my fears of heights and water by enjoying several amazing helicopter rides and snorkelling around the world including the Great Barrier Reef. And lastly, climbing the Sydney Harbour Bridge that has the best harbour in the world.
This is a day I will never forget.
