The Adventuress Top 5 Favourite Places In The World.

1. Paris, France.

Paris, the city of love. I love the French history, stunning artwork from Monet, Renoir to Van Gogh at the Musee D’Orsay to the amazing architecture of the Eiffel Tower, Le Opera and the Arc de Triomphe on the Champs-Élysées.

Le Louvre is one of my favourite museums in the world full of amazing artworks, statues and lots of history.

Book a half day tour to the fabulous Versailles Palace, you will no doubt be enchanted by this enormous palace and its beauty.  I also suggest you book a sunset cruise on The Seine River, Paris is so pretty at night.

Hotel Costes is a spectacular hotel, bar, and restaurant. I fell in love with La Costes Hotel the moment I walked in. A dining experience not to be missed, ensure you book well in advance.

The city’s beauty and sensational food will no doubt draw you back for a return visit.

2. Positano, Italy.

Positano is one of the prettiest and stunning coastlines in Italy. You will definitely fall in love with this village, from the food, beautiful friendly people and the fresh air.

Positano is located on the Amalfi Coast, south of Naples and has many other gorgeous surrounding towns to visit like Praiano, Sorrento, Amalfi and Ravello.

Hire a boat or catch a ferry to see the nearby island of Capri and visit Ana Capri. And do not forget to book a sunset cruise in Positano, we thoroughly enjoyed our 1.5 hours cruise and were blessed with a sighting of a dolphin and a gorgeous sunset.

3. Mauritius, an island in the Indian Ocean.

Mauritius is where my family originate from. Mauritius is a stunning island with breathtaking sunsets, crystal blue ocean, rugged mountains and delicious cuisine.

There are so many adventures to be had here from climbing mountains, hiking to waterfalls, snorkelling, swimming with dolphins, island hopping, quad biking, hiring a Harley Davidson, hiring a catamaran or speedboat for the day and more.

I suggest staying on the north or west coast of the island where the restaurants, bars and nightlife are. There are so many fun activities to enjoy around the island, hire a car and drive around the island in a day.

Rent accommodation for half the trip where you have all the main facilities required like a kitchen, swimming pool, and laundry facilities.  Renting an apartment or house is more economical than staying at a resort in Mauritius. Although, I love the resorts in Mauritius where the staff are so friendly and you are well looked after. The resorts have everything you need.

I guarantee Mauritius is an island that you will not hesitate to return to. Book now!

4. Hamilton Island, The Whitsundays in Australia.

Hamilton Island is the perfect place to rent a fully equipped apartment.  The island offers amazing sunsets, stunning ocean views and there are lots of activities to enjoy on and off the island.

Book a tour and enjoy a day at Whitehaven Beach with its crystal blue sea and silky white sand. Or book a helicopter tour and fly over the iconic Great Barrier Reef, the world’s largest coral reef.

5. The Peloponnese Coast, Athens and The Cyclades Islands, Greece.

Both the Peloponnese Coast and Athens have friendly people, delicious authentic home-made food and a lot of history. Every village in the Peloponnese is unique and the Peloponnese Coast is absolutely stunning. Hire a car to explore the Peloponnese Coast and catch a ferry to Spetses Island or Hydra Island.

Athens is a fabulous city with so much history. Walking all around Athens is fun and you discover so much more on foot. Shoe shopping around Monastiraki Markets is a must and make sure to eat the delicious Greek pastries and Gyro.

Both Santorini and Mykonos are part of The Cyclades Islands where I visited many years ago. Both islands are unique.

Santorini is the perfect location for couples with the most breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea. There are so many resorts to choose from, I recommend staying in Fira, the capital of Santorini where all the restaurant, bars, shops and nightlife are.

Mykonos is popular for summer parties where world known DJs play at the dance clubs. Beaches such as Paradise and Super Paradise have bars that play music and are the most popular beaches on the island.  Scandinavian Bar is a well known bar and was a great rendezvous place. The 16th century windmills, which sit on a hill above Mykonos town is one of the main landmarks of the island. This island is pretty with lots of restaurants, bars, nightlife and the shopping is fantastic here.  I love the unique shops.
